We’re delighted to welcome you to St George’s Church!  Well done for finding us.

Whether you are returning for your fifth year or this is your first time away from home, we want you to find a warm welcome here. We want you to feel like part of the family.

There are more than 120 students, from of Leeds' wonderful Universities, who call St George’s their home church in Leeds and they gather to worship and support each other on mission in lots of different ways.  We, as a student community, make up a large proportion of the Sunday gatherings and we are vital to many different ministries; from kids work, worship, work with the homeless and overseas mission.

St George’s is committed to ‘Sharing life – Loving Leeds’ so we’re excited you’ve joined us in our great city! As a ministry our vision is fourfold:

1. To preach Jesus to the students of Leeds

2. To baptise & teach new believers

3. To love and serve the people, unis and other establishments of Leeds

4. To send graduates out as leaders in mission

We believe this is what God is calling us to and we want to see Jesus make an impact in universities, halls of residences, clubs, societies, and student houses.  If you’re up for this, the best way to join in is to come along to Student Teas, or the 18:30Service and say Hi.  It would be great to get you plugged into some of the exciting things that are going on at St George’s.

Every Sunday evening at 6.30pm we gather about 300 students, young adults and anyone else.  We come together to worship God, receive great teaching, pray for Leeds and be sent out to serve the city.  The 1830 Service is surely the best place to be on a Sunday evening!

Starting back on 15th Jan 2017

Join us every Sunday evening during term time from 5.30pm in the Church Centre for dinner. It’s only £1 and your first time is free.  It’s a really relaxed environment to catch up after a long weekend, meet new friends, invite your mates to, and eat before the 1830 Service. Great food, great company.

We’d love you keep you informed with everything that goes on at St George’s for Students.  The best way to stay in contact with us is to connect via Social Media. From time to time we send out an email, to which you’re very welcome to sign up to.  Give us a like, a follow and leave your details and we’ll keep you in the loop of everything studenty that goes on here.

Networks are the lifeblood of St George’s Church.  They are mid-sized communities, where 20-30 people gather each week to get to know each other, study the bible, pray for one another and the city, go on mission and share life.  There are several networks led by students and for students. We would love to invite you to join one ASAP!
