StG'S Kids

At StG's we want to equip children and families at St George’s and beyond to be lifelong followers of Jesus, by knowing who God is, who He has created us to be and how we can impact the world in the power and love of Jesus.

On Sundays at our 10:30 gathering, children register in the Foyer of church before the service. If it is your first time, we take a few details and you will be told which group your children will be in and where they meet.

Our groups are:

Wrigglers: Age 6 months-2

First Steps: Age 2-4

Next Steps: Age 4-6 (School Years Reception - Year 1)

6-11s: School Years 2-6

Summer Sundays

Sun 30 July - 27 Aug, St George's Centre

During the summer holidays we run an exciting children's work programme. There are groups for 2-6s in Room 4 and 6-11s in the Large Function Room. A creché facility is also available for parents to stay with their babies. There will be action packed sessions with games, singing, Bible stories, prayer and ice cream!

Summer Sundays also give our Children's Team a well-earned break over the holidays and are a fun way for the kids in our church family to encounter God. If you'd like to get involved please email

Tuesdays, 10am - 11:30am (term time), St George's Centre

Play and Pray is our mid-week group for babies, pre-schoolers and their carers.  There is plenty of space for play, crafts, singing and a Bible Story time. There's also plenty of opportunity for the grown ups to enjoy quality coffee, cakes and time and space to chat and connect with others.

On the first Tuesday of the month, we have our "Messy Play" sessions.  It's always a good idea to wear old clothes and to bring a complete change of clothes too.  We've had lots of fun with sand and paint and water and soil and even breakfast-cereal farm-yards over the last few months!

Following Play and Pray, 12pm - 1pm, Church

The Stay group meets fortnightly, straight after Play and Pray to worship, read the Bible together and pray for each other and encourage each other.  Everyone welcome to join us - even just to try it out.  Creche available for toddlers, babies tend to stay with mummies. We multi-task and eat lunch at the same time too!! Its all pretty relaxed.

Mondays, 1pm - 2:30pm, Meanwood

We're forming a new group for pregnant Mums and very little ones (pre-walkers) on Monday afternoons, in Meanwood.  A chance to meet for a cup of tea and a chat with other Mums.  All welcome. Do be in touch for more details on this group.
