Welcome to St George’s Church!  Well done for finding us.

Whether you are returning for your fifth year or this is your first time away from home, we hope you'll find a warm welcome here. We want you to feel like part of the family.

There are students from all of Leeds' universities who call St George’s home. We gather to worship Jesus, work out how to follow him and seek to make a difference in the world around us, in lots of different ways.  Our student community makes up a large proportion of the 1830 service on Sunday evenings and we play our part in many different areas of St George's, e.g. kids' work, music & worship, work with the homeless and overseas mission.

St George’s is committed to ‘Sharing life & Loving Leeds’ so we’re

excited you’ve joined us in our great city! Our vision is:

1. To preach Jesus to the students of Leeds

2. To make disciples- training up followers of Jesus

3. To serve the city, in our unis and beyond

4. To send out leaders- students and graduates making an impact across all spheres of society

We want St George's to become a home from home for you, whether you're a lifelong Christian or brand new to the whole 'church thing'. We long to see Jesus make an impact in universities, halls of residence, clubs, societies, and student houses, and we want to be a place where people can make friends, ask questions and explore faith for themselves. If you’re up for any of this, the best way to join in is to come along to Student Teas or the 1830 Service.  It would be great to get you plugged into St George's. We hope to see you soon!

Every Sunday evening at 6.30pm.

Most people who gather are students or young adults, but everyone is welcome.  We come together to worship God, receive great teaching from the Bible, pray for Leeds and be sent out to serve the city.

*We're in Yorkshire, so tea = main evening meal!

Starts back 24th Sept at 5:30pm

Join us every Sunday evening during term time from 5.30pm in the Church Centre for dinner. It’s only £1 and your first time is free.  It’s a really relaxed environment to catch up after a long weekend, meet new friends, invite your mates to, and eat before the 1830 Service. Great food, great company.

We’d love you keep you informed with all things St George's Students.  The best way to stay in contact is via Social Media. Every so often we send out an email, which you’re welcome to sign up to.  Give us a like, a follow and leave your details and we’ll keep you in the loop of everything studenty that goes on here.

Networks are the lifeblood of St George’s Church.  They are mid-sized communities, where 20-30 people gather each week to get to know each other, study the bible, pray for one another and the city, go on mission and share life.  There are several networks led by students and for students. We would love to invite you to join one ASAP!

An exciting collection of three mission groups, we meet together for teaching and worship and every three weeks head out to serve our city through either prayer and intercession, partnering with Lighthouse to serve those on the margins or partnering with English classes to serve those seeking refuge in our city from around the world.
