St George's walkers have enjoyed some excellent walks over the last few months. Taking routes across Yorkshire Wolds through the carpet of bluebells at Middleton, Ilkley, the heights of Ingleborough in rather inclement weather for July, moorland over to Coldstone's Cut in Nidderdale and the beauty of the Dales around Grassington. This September we stayed on the shores of Windermere at theYHA at Ambleside. Fine weather as we walked up Red Screes contrasted with thick mist on the top but we still celebrated with birthday cake which had been nobly carried to the summit! A walk on Loughrigg Fell the next day in late summer sunshine was a true blessing and a chance to catch up with friends, share life and love.... The Lakes. You would be welcome to join us for a walk.
