Spring has yet to arrive on the St. George's walks with both April and May's walks being a little inclement at times with what was described as 'exfoliating hail' on our descent of Roseberry Topping, North Yorks Moors in early May; very painful on any exposed hands and faces! However we have enjoyed some magnificent panoramic views, spotted some wildlife and been inspired by our cultural heritage. We hope we have welcomed the new walkers and have enjoyed catching up with familiar faces. For me walks offer a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, the physical exertion and the physical space of being in Yorkshire countryside amongst friends old and new.
