Sarah single-handedly runs a school for the children of Christian workers who would otherwise not be able to serve in a country where there are many challenges. One of the challenges for Sarah is to keep all the children of differing ages engaged at the same time. So she gives thanks for the motivation and progress of her pupils. She is also so thankful to God that the guard who fell from the roof and was thought likely to die or be severely handicapped is making a good recovery.
Please pray for Sarah during the remainder of her time in the UK. Pray that she might have a well-deserved rest, a good time with family and friends and be refreshed and ready to return to a very different environment and demanding work at the end of the summer.
Charles works for Arab World Ministries and has daily contact with people from the Arab world through the internet. He has recently returned from Morocco and Lebanon where he was delighted to meet up with a Christian believer with whom he had been communicating from the UK.
The times are changing in relation to Charles' work. The events surrounding the 'Arab Spring' open up new possibilities for reaching people with the Gospel, but also make life difficult for many Christians who are living in less secure times and, for some, increased persecution. Also internet technologies are changing with more reliance on social media for communication.
Please pray for Charles as he seeks to respond to these changes and to discern how best to use his experience and expertise over the next five years.
