We think walking is a great way to share life and get to know one another better, whilst enjoying the beauty on our doorstep in the Yorkshire Dales. We would love to welcome you to the group – especially if you’re new to St George’s.

We often walk in the Yorkshire Dales or Moors with a starting point under an hour’s drive from Leeds - though in the summer months we may go a little further afield.  Our programme is available to download on this page, providing details of our walks this year. We usually start walking at 10am and finish before 5pm, covering about 15-18km. Whatever else, we guarantee we’ll be walking through some of the best countryside in Britain!

If you enjoy singing then a great way to connect with others is through joining The Little Woodhouse Community Choir. We meet every other week to rehearse and often perform at local community and charity events. The choir is open to all, there's no audition, no previous experience needed and no membership fee!

Thursdays, fortnightly | 7:30-9:00pm | St George’s Church Centre

Visit the Community Choir website for more details on rehearsal dates and upcoming events.

We think playing sport together is a great way to sharing life and getting to know one another better. We invite you to join our church members, of all ages and sizes, to socialize through sport through the week. Opportunities include meeting to play football for men and women. St George’s Church Cricket Club play friendly non-league matches during the summer, and welcome you to join in the game or for a BBQ at the club house!

Do get in touch with us to find out more info and come along, we would love to get to know you.

Although St George’s doesn't organise and football directly, members of the church play at specific times during the week.

Mondays (all year, except bank holidays) | 9pm - 10:30pm | Thomas Danby College (on astro turf).

We practice through the winter in Tadcaster or Headingley on Friday evenings 6 - 8pm, then play through the summer at Harewood House.

It’s often proved difficult for men to find meaningful community in churches.  At St George’s we tend to connect through our vibrant Networks and a wide variety of different ministries and opportunities to serve.  However there are moments when it is helpful to get together as men to encourage and spur one another on in our pursuit of godliness.

Sometimes our gatherings take the form of BBQs, Q&A with guest speakers or pub trips.  On other occasions we host New Wine Men’s Days, travel together to conferences and maybe even go oversees on mission.

The Men's Breakfast on the 7th of July has been cancelled

At St George's, our vision is to Share Life and Love Leeds.
Our women's ministry aims to support the women of our church in both of these; by creating social events that we can invite friends to and share life with one another, as well as organising faith-building events, like our testimony afternoons; to encourage us to go out and love Leeds in Jesus' name.

How do you catch your breath when you feel breathless? Where do you go when you are running out of air, running wild, running on empty? How do you learn to breathe again? Inhaling life, exhaling truth, finding the breath to bring dry bones to life, refuelling the should and invigorating the mind.

Run to the breath that has the power to awaken dormant dreams and lift the weariest of hearts. It’s His breath in our lungs that gives us our very life. His breath changes everything and can permeate all things. So go ahead and breathe Him in and learn to breathe again.

Join us for next year's Cherish Conference.

STG's Tots

Tuesdays, 10am - 11:30am (term time), St George's Centre

STG'S Tots is our mid-week group for babies, pre-schoolers and their carers.  There is plenty of space for play, crafts, singing and a Bible Story time. There's also plenty of opportunity for the grown ups to enjoy quality coffee, cakes and time and space to chat and connect with others.

On the first Tuesday of the month, we have our "Messy Play" sessions.  It's always a good idea to wear old clothes and to bring a complete change of clothes too.

Following STG'S Tots, 12pm - 1pm, St George's Centre

The Stay group meets fortnightly, straight after STG'S Tots to read and discuss the Bible together, pray for each other and encourage each other.  Everyone is welcome to join us - even just to try it out.  There is a creche available for toddlers and babies stay with parents. Bring lunch for you and your child.
